Psychosocial Program to Help Traumatized Children

During times of conflict children need safe places for protection  from exploitation and to process the trauma they are facing. They need the support of specialists who understand their experiences and can help them heal. We create safe spaces for children, where they can rediscover their childhoods and leave behind the deep and damaging trauma of war, conflict, and living rough on the streets.

Child Friendly Spaces

In Pakistan, we're proud to operate Duha School, a beacon of hope for children affected by poverty. At Doha School, we provide free education, resources, and uniforms to children who would otherwise be denied an education. Our school follows an international quality standard, offering a broad range of subjects, including art, drama, music, and Islamic studies. Our holistic approach to education aims to nurture the whole child, fostering academic excellence, creativity, and emotional intelligence.

Expressive Arts Therapy

For children that have witnessed the horrors of war, verbalizing a traumatic event for a child can create so much anxiety that it hinders their capacity to express their feeling thus preventing a healing process. A lot of young children, do not even have a vocabulary developed enough to describe such horrific events. We use Expressive Arts Therapy which is an effective tool for treating children that are traumatised, and lack the social or verbal capabilities to express their thoughts and emotions. Expressive Arts Therapy is a therapeutic process that incorporates the use of creative outlets such as art, music and drama, to help heal and cope.
